RICE KHEER

HOW TO MAKE RICE KHEER



Ingredients:

Basmati Rice – 1 cup
Milk – ½ litre
Sugar – 1 cup
Almond and Cashew nuts – ¼ cup
Ghee – 3tsp
Water – ½ cup

Method:

1.      Soak the rice in water for 1 ½ hours and then drain the water.
2.      Heat the ghee in a pan and add the rice.
3.      Fry it for 4 to 5 mins until you get nice aroma then keep aside.
4.      Blend the nuts in to smooth powder.
5.      In a pan boil the milk and in the rolling boil stage add the rice.
6.      After 3 mins add the sugar and nut powder.
7.      Keep the stove in simmer and let it to cook at least for 30 mins….
8.      Mix it evenly using wooden ladle now and then.
9.      Check the consistency of rice ( take one rice and smash it between two finger it should get smashed easily)
10.  Let it cool. You can even keep it in refrigerator. ( Because it tastes so good when it is chill than hot)

SOAK THE RICE IN WATER FOR MINIMUM 1 HOUR

HEAT THE GHEE IN LARGE PAN

ADD THE RICE AND FRY IT

FRY IT UNTIL YOU GET NICE AROMA AND IT STARTS TO TURN GOLDEN COLOR

BLEND THE NUTS

POWDERED NUTS

BOIL THE MILK

ADD THE RICE


ADD SUGAR


ADD THE NUT MIXTURE

MIX IT THOROUGHLY AND KEEP THE STOVE IN SIMMER

LET IT TO COOK FOR MINIMUM 1/2 HOUR UNTIL YOU GET THE SMOOTH SMASHY TEXTURE 
 LET IT TO COOL. RICE KHEER IS READY
